The University is interested in developing, strengthening and prioritizing an applied, focused and high quality research in two main areas. The first deals with human and cultural development, which emphasizes socio-cultural and territorial processes, and education and fundamental rights issues. The second deals with scientific and technological development, which emphasizes innovation of processes and products related to clean production and natural resources; even though it is intended to contribute to solve regional problems, it could be applied in other contexts.
