The UC Temuco focuses in promoting among the students the development of the abilities needed to successfully finish their professional studies and also grow from the social and human perspective. To do so, it gives support in guidance counseling, and in administrative, legal, and participation matters. It runs a Healthy University program for the students well-being, and a support program that is in charge of giving scholarships and some other benefits to the students in need.
The UC Temuco seeks to encourage and enrich links between the alumni and the university. To do so, it fosters a solidarity culture, requesting their collaboration in projects of mutual benefit, and promotes their participation in programs which support the students' education and the enhancement of mechanisms for their insertion in society. It offers the possibility to update and continue their education in this university.
The library system supports an effective documentary and virtual transference service. It is organized in one central library and four specialized units in an on-line network. It has one on-line catalogue, 51,700 books, 4,000 on-line journal titles (full-text), and 19 on-line data bases (Web of Science, Ebsco, Elseviers, CSA).
